(WXYZ) - Police are investigating an attempted child abduction in Eastpointe.
A 13-year-old student was walking home from Kelly Middle School around 2:30 p.m. when she realized she was being followed by a man driving an older Ford Taurus, according to police.
Police say the man then got out of a vehicle near Universal and Ego Street and started walking behind her. When she ran away from him, he chased her, but then stopped and went back to his vehicle.
The suspect is described as in his 30s, 6'-1" with a medium build. He was wearing a black skull cap and a black leather coat. Police say the Ford Taurus was red and rusty.
