(WXYZ) - Have you registered your cell phone number on the National Do Not Call List? You can do it here.

It takes only seconds to go online and register . You’ll just need to enter an email address and the phone number.

You can also call and register from your cell phone by calling 1-888-382-1222. Keep in mind telemarketers can still reach your cell number with robo-dialers calling random numbers, so it is a good idea to get your cell phone number on the federal do not call list

If companies continue to call you after you have been on the list for 31 days, you can file a complaint.

Cell phone numbers will not be released to telemarketers as earlier reported. The Federal Communication Commission confirms there are no plans to release a list of cell phone numbers to telemarketers.
