DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Michigan Humane Society is offering a $2500 reward in the case of a Beagle that was found abandoned in a trash bag.
The two-year-old dog was found in a trash bag in the 2000 block of Bellevue near Charlevoix and Mt. Elliot in Detroit.
An employee from a nearby business found the dog.
It is not known how long the dog had been in the trash bag that was soaked with the Beagle's urine. Investigators think the defenseless animal was in the bag for days.
The dog has suffered some form of trauma and was in severe pain. Vets gave her painkillers and are keeping a close watch on her. She is expected to recover.
Anyone with information in this case should contact the Michigan Humane Society's Cruelty Hotline at (313)-872-3401.
