(WXYZ) - A lot of kids are peddling in style thanks to Variety Detroit, the children's charity.
For 18 years now, the Bikes for Kids program has supplied hundreds of children with new bikes, helmets and bike locks.
The program gave away 150 bikes Wednesday night.
Former Channel 7 anchor Diana Lewis has been there since day one-- putting kids on bikes-- and smiles on kids.
Wednesday night, some 800 people were on hand for pizza, hot dogs, games, dancing--and of course, the bike give-away
