GROSSE POINTE PARK, MICH (WXYZ) - Police continue to investigate the death of a Grosse Pointe Park woman, 35-year-old Sabrina Gianino.
Shortly after midnight Thursday, someone tipped off police who went to a home in the 1300 block of Wayburn.
When they arrived, officers found Gianino's body, and they are calling her death suspicious.
Neighbors tell 7 Action News Gianino stayed in a unit there with her boyfriend most of the time, though she had her own home.
They were stunned to hear about her death.
“I was inconsolable,” said Gianino’s friend Loren Anderson. “I didn’t know how to process it.”
Gianino worked as a receptionist at a local animal hospital and was a pet lover according to loved ones. They tell 7 Action News it is hard for them to believe she had any enemies.
Grosse Pointe Park police say they are getting assistance in the investigation from the Wayne County Medical Examiner, the Michigan State Police Crime Lab, and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
