Off-duty DPS officer involved in shooting

DETROIT (WXYZ) - An off-duty DPS safety officer was involved in a shooting early Friday morning.

It happened on the 1500 block of Clark street in Detroit.

Reports say a male and female were involved in a domestic dispute when the female called her brother, who is a DPS safety officer, to the scene.

The officer shot the male who was then transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

The victim's condition is not known at this time.
