Bruegger's offering free bagels for 'National Bagel Day'

(WXYZ) - Bruegger’s is celebrating its 29 ^th birthday and National Bagel Day, and that means free bagels for you.

To take advantage of the offer, guests are asked to print a coupon from the company’s facebook page , then bring it to any of Bruegger’s 300 locations . Each guest can receive up to three free bagels.

Members of Bruegger’s “Fresh News” email club will receive the coupon via email.

The offer runs from the time the store opens until 2 p.m. on Feb. 9.

Last year, Bruegger's gave away nearly a quarter-million bagels. This year they want to give away more, said company marketing head, Scott Colwell, in an announcement.

Bruegger’s also conducted its third annual national survey to gauge the tastes of the bagel-consuming public. And for the third year in a row, the “Everything” bagel came in first, with the Asiago Parmesan second and the Cinnamon-Sugar Bagel third.

Plain cream cheese remains America’s choice in the topping category. Light plain came in second and honey walnut, third.
