Southfield (WXYZ) - A benefit concert this Saturday night for the Great Lakes Burn Camp just got burned by it’s corporate sponsors.

Organizers with the Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation say without the promised $15,000 dollars in corporate sponsorship the show Saturday night will not go on.

Right now American Idol alum Bucky Covington , comedian Geechy Guy and a host of local acts are scheduled to hit the stage of the Fillmore Theater in Detroit at 7pm on February 11 th.

The money raised by the “Strive to Survive Comedy Tour” is supposed to benefit the Great Lakes Burn Camp , a place for kids ages 6 through 17 to meet, heal, grow and support other burn survivors.

If you can help with a donation call Jim Plieth with the Detroit Fire Fighters Cancer Council at 586 405-7143.
