(WXYZ) - Channel 7 Anchor Carolyn Clifford was presented with the Carlyle W. Rees Award for excellence in broadcasting Thursday night at the 15th Annual Herald Awards.
Each year, the Metropolitan Christian Council honors leaders in the media, creative programming and community services, who also seek to promote change in our community.
Carlyle W. Rees was the first director at WXYZ-TV.
Among the other award winners: Steve Spreitzer was awarded with the Ecumenical Award; Pastor Solomon Kinloch, Jr. was presented with the Pastor of the Year Award; Gail Perry-Mason was presented with the Community Service Award and Daniel Buttry was presented with the Trumpet Award.
