(WXYZ) - A toddler was returned to his family Monday evening after a woman who was supposed to be watching him left the child at a furniture store in Highland Park.
Furniture store employees in Highland Park say a woman asked workers to watch a child for a couple of minutes and then disappeared.
The child was left in the workers’ care for five hours before he was taken by the Highland Park Police Department. The employees say they fed the child while waiting for the woman to return.
Police say they interviewed the child's father before returning him to his family.
