(WXYZ) - Hundreds of runners and walkers took part in the 2nd Annual Cipriano Classic in Farmington Hills.
This event brings continued spiritual and financial support to the Cipriano family after they were brutally attacked last year.
Tanner Cipriano took to the stage just before the 5k started, thanking everyone for their support and asking for their continued prayers.
The 5K was held at the Farmington Family YMCA on Farmington Road, north of 12 Mile. Rose Cipriano worked there as are personal trainer before the tragedy happened.
The race started at 7 p.m.
Last year, the fundraiser raised $60,000.
