City of Troy has new mayor

TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - The city of Troy has a new mayor.
Councilman Dane Slater was sworn into office at Monday’s city council meeting.
Slater replaces former mayor Janice Daniels who was recalled in last week's election.
The council now has 30-days to select a new mayor who will serve until next November.
The part-time mayoral position pays $175.00 a month.
