(WXYZ) - Firefighters believe motor oil was dumped into the Red Run Drain.
Sterling Heights and Warren firefighters put three booms in the Red Run Drain on Thursday, hoping to soak up the oil.
Firefighters tell 7 Action News they don't know if the dumping was on accident or on purpose, but they think it happened in Warren.
The Sterling Heights water department will check on the boons on Friday.
