(WXYZ) - Van Buren Township police say some of their neighboring communities have had reports of delivered packages being stolen off of homeowner’s porches.

Police say no incidents have occurred in Van Buren Township, but they wanted to make people aware of the thefts.

The robbers have been following package delivery companies like UPS, Fed-Ex and US Postal until the packages are dropped off at houses where no one is home, according to police.

Police suggest having family members or neighbors watch for deliveries when you are away from home.

If you have any information regarding these incidents, please call police at 734-699-8930.
