(WXYZ) - Four Michigan teens are among the 100 students selected to participate in the Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE Magazine.

The Academy will be March 7-10 at the Walt Disney World theme parks. Students will engage in full-immersion career workshops, covering subjects ranging from zoology to animation.

“Over the past five years, we have helped 500 Dreamers unlock their potential and get started on their journeys in life,” said Disney Dreamers Academy Executive Champion Tracey D. Powell. “The sixth Disney Dreamers Academy marks another year of continued motivation, education and success."

Workshops will cover networking strategies and communication techniques.

Steve Harvey is a syndicated TV and radio host. ESSENCE Magazine is a lifestyle and beauty magazine for African-American women.

Over 5,000 students applied.
