(WXYZ) - Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr told the Detroit Economic Club that when he's done in a year, the business community should keep up the mission.
"You've got to keep this city on the right course once we right this ship against the same forces that have taken it off course again and again," Orr told the more than 200 were in the audience during the noon luncheon.
Orr was greeted by a dozen protestors who have followed him from city hall to bankruptcy court to public appearances.
Detroit Retiree David Sole told 7 Action News that Orr is "the emergency dictator" who was inside talking to bankers, that he will sell city assets, cut the pensions and they will fight it.
