(WXYZ) - Trying to spread the love in the Motor City, a Detroit pastor is using twitter to get his message out.

The hashtag is “#DetLove.”

It’s a feed where anyone can take a picture, describe an act of kindness, or just write a positive message and share it with the world.

"We need to inspire more love in the city of Detroit," said Rev. Charles E. Williams.

Rev. Williams says he's hoping the message will resonate with people young and old -- everyone is invited to participate.
