DETROIT (WXYZ) - Another potential scandal was uncovered Thursday night in the Detroit Police Department.
Police inspector Don Johnson is under investigation over intimate photos he allegedly texted to another police official.
A source close to the investigation tells 7 Action News that the photos were sent between Johnson and another high-ranking official in the department who is not a subordinate.
The source believes those photos were willingly exchanged between the two parties more than a year ago. The source says it's believed a third party recently went to internal affairs with the pictures.
Johnson is on vacation, but the source says that it is not a forced vacation, it just happened to coincide with the investigation.
