Detroit police searching for missing mother and son

(WXYZ) - Detroit police are searching for a missing mother and her child who were last seen together on December 11 on the 2700 block of Seldon.

Briana Gaines, 17, is described as 5’-5”, 163 pounds with brown eyes and auburn hair. She was last seen wearing green jeans, a sweater with a burgundy hood and a brown jacket.

Her son, 1-year-old Xavier, was wearing blue khaki pants, a blue jacket and a hat. He is described as having brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say Gaines is in good physical condition, but is taking medication for ADHD and depression.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to call police at 313-596-1340.
