(WXYZ) - What's described as a major new public safety initiative for the City of Detroit is about to be unveiled.
Mayor Dave Bing will roll it out on Thursday.
Bing is planning a news conference with U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, which suggests there is federal involvement in the plan.
7 Action News will be at the Detroit Northwest Activities Center on Thursday to bring you the details.
