(WXYZ) - A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the case of a dog found skinned alive on Detroit's southwest side Thursday.
Patty was found skinned from the back of her neck to her ears in southwest Detroit. She is in serious but stable condition at the Emergency Veterinarian Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Timothy Williams found Patty on his front porch. He says he couldn't believe what he saw.
"It was literally cut from shoulder to shoulder around. It was a perfect cut."
Williams wrapped her up in a blanket and held her.
"She was in shock. She was shivering," he says.
His neighbor called Detroit Police after they noticed Patty walking around outside near Patton Park with a large patch of fur hanging off of her bleeding neck. The pictures are too graphic to post.
