HAMTRAMCK, MICH - If you're looking to have a really good time Labor Day, you won't want to miss the 2013 Hamtramck Polish Day Parade.
The parade begins at 1:30pm, September 2nd, at the intersection of Joseph Campau and Holbrook.
You'll enjoy watching the floats and once again this year mural artist Dennis Orlowski will try to wow us with another outstanding float celebrating the theme of the parade: a tribute to Polish media.
There will be plenty of fun and excitement and let's not forget the music.
The Hamtramck Cosmos band will be featured in the parade as well as other bands and church groups. Much of the color will be provided by Polish dance troupes adding to the entertainment.
This year's Grand Marshal is Warren city Councilman Keith Sadowski. Former editor in chief of the Polish Daily News Stanley Krajewski is the honorary Grand Marshal.
The parade has been around for over 60 years and as usual will top off a weekend of fun as part of the Hamtramck Polish Festival, which gets underway Saturday, August 31st. in downtown Hamtramck.
And if this isn't enough, there are the other restaurants and shops in Hamtramck that will satisfy your appetite and curiosities.
