Elderly couple dies in Novi fire

(WXYZ) - The Novi Fire Department says that an elderly couple died in a house fire on Thursday morning.
The fire occurred at the couple’s home in the Novi Meadows mobile home community on the 26000 block of Indiana around 8:30 a.m., according to fire officials.
The fire department says firefighters found Lewis Hampton, 79, and Jeannette Hampton,73, unconscious in their home. Officials say the couple was then transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
