TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - An elderly woman was killed Thursday morning when a fire swept through her mobile home, according to Taylor Police.
The mobile home park is located in the Robin Wood community near Ecorse and Beech Daly.
Neighbors on the scene tell 7 Action News a family member also suffered burns trying to rescue the elderly woman.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it's believed a space heater may be to blame. Firefighters say it is possible there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
