(WXYZ) - Facebook appeared to be down for some users on Tuesday evening.
Down Right Now , a web service monitoring tool, showed that there was a service disruption around 9 p.m. for some users trying to get on Facebook.
Users encountered a page that read: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."
Late Tuesday, many people were tweeting that they were still having issues logging on to Facebook.
7 Action News reached out to Facebook about the service disruption and received this statement:
"Earlier today, an internal issue in our web infrastructure caused the site to be slow or unavailable for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and should now be back to 100%. We apologize for any inconvenience."
