Families across the country celebrate first-ever National Bowling Day

(WXYZ) - Thousands of bowling centers across the country will be participating in the first-ever National Bowling Day today.
On National Bowling Day, America will bowl for free.
Anyone and everyone can go to GoBowling.com to access a free game coupon and find participating centers closest to them.
The coupon can also be accessed by "liking" the GoBowling Facebook page.
Over the past five years, bowling has seen steady growth and is currently ranked the nation's number one participatory sport with more than 71 million people taking to the lanes every year.
The resurgence has been fueled by increased participation among women and youth and the emergence of a new breed of family entertainment centers with increased amenities for all.
