ROCHESTER, MICH (WXYZ) - A close call for one family in Rochester has a bitter sweet ending.
Their home caught fire and although there was quite a bit of damage, it's not a total loss. And, more importantly, everyone, including their pets , made it out safely.
The fire started in the garage just after 6am. Although the cause is still being investigated with the help of Oakland County investigators, the electrical circuitry is suspected.
The firefighters aggressively fought the fire in the 1300 block of Catalpa limiting the worst damage to one of the upstairs bedrooms. But, the garage is a total loss.
The Rochester Hills Fire Department assisted in fighting the fire.
