(WXYZ) - On Thursday, an 8th grader took a 40 caliber gun to school and sadly took his own life.

The boy was found this morning in an upstairs bathroom at Davidson Middle School in Southgate.

Investigators say he left a suicide note talking about having a hard time dealing with life as a teen.

Family psychologist Dr. Sandra Lyness was on 7 Action News at 5 to discuss teen troubles and how to help prevent such tragedies.
