(WXYZ) - The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a woman in Washington Township on Sunday.
Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says 37-year-old Sandra Lee Loepp was walking northbound on Old Van Dyke after leaving Santino’s Bar around 1 a.m. on Sunday when she was struck. Investigators believe Loepp was dragged by the vehicle and then dislodged in the office parking lot for the Washington Mobile Home Park.
The woman’s body was discovered by another driver who was in the area.
