DETROIT (WXYZ) - Lawyers for Kwame Kilpatrick and other defendants in the upcoming federal corruption trial won't be able to do any digging on the jurors.

Members of the panel will supposedly be anonymous.

A new court filing Thursday indicates that while defense lawyers may be given the names, they're barred from investigating the juror's backgrounds.

One attorney who's against having an anonymous jury argues they're more likely to convict.

The defense has since appealed the motion.

Kilpatrick and his co-defendants are accused of running a criminal enterprise out of city hall when he was mayor of Detroit.
