"Forgotten Harvest" is looking for volunteers who can help feed the hungry.
Every weekend in September, volunteers will gather at four local farms to harvest 175,000 pounds of vegetables. The produce will go to the tables of those in need the next day.
Volunteers will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Casco Township Farm, Oakland County Farm, Shelby Township Farm and Ray Township Farm. Parents are welcome to bring the children along so they can learn about farming and helping out those in need.
