(WXYZ) - Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has failed to make his November restitution payment on time, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller tells 7 Action News the former mayor's payment came in December 5, five days past the deadline.
By not making the payment on time, Miller says Kilpatrick is now in violation of his parole.
"Kwame Kilpatrick has missed his November 2012 payment. We (Wayne County Prosecutor's office) hope that Michigan Department of Corrections will look into this because Kilpatrick is violating his terms of his parole and he is under the MDOC's jurisdiction," said Miller in a statement to 7 Action News.
