MT. PLEASANT, Mich. (WXYZ) - For the fourth time in three days, an armed robbery took place near Central Michigan University.

The most recent crime happened this afternoon near Mission and Broadway Streets, about a mile and a half north of campus.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing dark blue jeans, a blue or black flannel winter hat and is about 5'7". According to police, the likely getaway car was a black Ford Mustang.

Two other armed robberies took place on Sunday.

A Marathon gas station was robbed during the afternoon and a Subway restaurant was hit around 11:00 last night.

The string of robberies began on Saturday afternoon when a man robbed a check cashing store.

Mount Pleasant police are urging everyone to not approach any suspects and to contact police if they have any information.
