Free Saurday music festivals offer sounds of cool jazz and acoustic country

(WXYZ) - A new music festival will kick-off in West Michigan this weekend. It's called the GRand Jazz Fest and it'll be held Saturday in Grand Rapids' Rosa Parks Circle. Renowned guitarist Tim Bowman will headline the free event. Other acts scheduled to appear include saxophonist Phil Denny and Walt Gutowski & The Bridge Street Band.

And if country music is more your speed, you may want to head to Muskegon for Moose Fest 2012. The  annual acoustic concert will featurs a number of country music acts. The free event will take place Saturday at  Heritage Landing. This year's featured headliner is Rodney Atkins. Other performers set to hit the stage include Randy Houser, Matt Stillwell, Greg Bates, Jon Pardi and Jessie James.
