(WXYZ) - More than 20 aviation events will be held across Michigan this month in honor of September being Michigan Aviation Month.
Events planned for the celebration include the 7th annual fly-in at Gogebic-Iron County Airport on Sept. 8, and the Western Michigan University College of Aviation fly-in pancake breakfast on Sept. 15 at W.K. Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek.
Dreams and Wings Fly Day will be held on Sept. 29 at Dupont Lapeer Airport in Lapeer. Pilots will give rides to children with disabilities during the event, and a group of pilots will fly to airports in Detroit, Marshall, Adrian, Battle Creek, Cadillac and Alpena as part of Michigan Air Tour. The event will take place from Sept. 21 to 23 to highlight each airport's services and economic importance.
