DETROIT (AP) - Greater Grace Temple in Detroit will help host an event that aims to set a record for the largest online quiz.
The Great Bible Race Quiz starts at 10 a.m. today. Gatherings also are expected in New Orleans, Washington, New York, Los Angeles and other cities.
The quiz is open to participants using computers, smartphones or wireless tablets anywhere in the world and will be available in 17 languages. It's based on the Great Bible Race video game developed by Novi, Mich.-based Premier 3D Animation.
Spokesman Melvin Claxton says the game is an alternative to video games that promote violence.
Guinness World Records says the record for the largest online quiz involved 1,023 participants last December in Istanbul.
