GROSSE POINTE WOODS, MI (WXYZ) - When 54-year-old Donald DeWulf didn't answer the door, his brother used a hidden key to let himself inside the house in Grosse Pointe Woods. That's when Michael DeWulf found Donald dead on the bathroom floor.
Donald DeWulf, an insurance salesman, was dead from a gunshot wound to his head.
So far, police have no suspects in custody, but are interviewing people close to Donald including the mother of his seven-year-old son, Donovan.
Donald DeWulf's body was found Monday and, at first, sources say police may have suspected suicide. But the coroner ruled the death a homicide. DonaldĀ had been shot in the head and there was no gun found nearby.
Michael DeWulf says reports that his brother was found with an electrical cord around his neck are not true.
Investigators are not revealing a possible motive for the murder.
Anyone with any information on the killing is urged to call Grosse Pointe Woods Police at (313)343-2412.
