(WXYZ) - Staying cool in the heat wave just became harder with beaches closing across Michigan.
Environmental health students from the Beach Monitoring Program are testing beaches on a weekly basis measuring their bacteria levels for harmful organisms including E.Coli, and the survey has closed a few of Michigan's beaches, the list below:
The beaches must meet a water quality standard or it will remain closed until satisfactory samples are obtained.
