HARPER WOODS, Mich. (WXYZ) - It's a case of the wrong place at the wrong time Wednesday night for a Harper Woods woman who is recovering after getting shot in a carjacking.
The car the gunman stole wasn't even hers. This unfolded at the BP gas station on 8 Mile and Kelly.
The suspect was after the red Chevy Camaro with black racing stripes you see in the surveillance video above.
The woman noticed her friend driving the car and went over to talk. The gunman approached the passenger side, ordering her to leave. When she ran, he shot her, then robbed the driver and took off in the Camaro.
The plate on the stolen Camaro is CCG4169.
If you have any information, call Harper Woods police.
