(WXYZ) - The State Health Department says a fourth child has died from the flu this season.
A 14-year-old male was the most recent victim. Officials say he was from the central part of the state.
Last year the state of Michigan had no deaths from influenza. So far this season four children have died in the state.
Health officials are calling it one of the worst flu seasons we've seen in recent years.
Officials say the majority of the cases are H3 influenza followed by influenza B then H1N1. They also say vaccine supply is ample.
Two-hundred-eight-five cases of flu have been confirmed by state laboratories.
