Rochester Hills (WXYZ) - 7 Action News has covered the stories of kids who died from heart problems that no one knew they had until it was too late. Of course you can’t protect your children from everything, but doctors say tests may identify problems.
Now WXYZ and Beaumont are teaming up to help you check your child’s heart health.
On Saturday, January 26, 2013, Beaumont will offer healthy heart checks at Sola Life and Fitness in Rochester Hills. The checks will be offered from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
New this year, the tests will include an echocardiogram. This ultrasound of the heart was only done on high risk students in the past, but Beaumont wants to ensure that no kids fall through the cracks.
