(WXYZ) - On Friday, we heard stories of people who reminded us what teachers do and how much they care even in the face of danger.
One first grade teacher heard gunfire and raced 15 small children into a tiny bathroom to try and save their lives.
Just this year, Sandy Hook put into place a security plan making it mandatory for visitors to ring a doorbell and only be let in if staff recognized them through the video monitor.
