DETROIT (WXYZ) - A noontime rally attracted hundreds of Iraqi Americans from metro Detroit.

Chaldean and other Christian Arabs are protesting the massacre of 58 churchgoers inside Our Lady of Salvation Syriac Catholic Church in Baghdad on October 31.  The deadly attack has been linked to Al Qaeda.

The protestors are warning of genocide for Iraq's Christian population. They are demanding protection for the U.S. government and Iraqi Security Forces.

Similar protests had been scheduled for other U.S. cities and government buildings throughout Europe.
