(WXYZ) - Michigan State Police say a 53-year-old man as killed in a car accident on I-75 northbound at Northline.
The accident caused the roadway to be shut down for about four hours Wednesday night.
Police say John Jude Watson of Brownstown was driving when he lost control, ran over the shoulder, struck into a vehicle in the left lane and then ran into the median wall.
Once the vehicle came to a stop, it was hit by a semi-truck, according to police.
The crash is still under investigation, but police say Watson was not wearing his seatbelt.
Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
