(WXYZ) - Southbound I-75 at Clark in Detroit has reopened after a fatal accident Wednesday night.
Police say the driver of a car veered off of a side street, plowed through a fence and down the embankment before being hit by a semi-truck.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to a local hospital, according to police. The semi-truck driver is expected to be OK.
The freeway was shut down for hours Thursday morning.
