(WXYZ) - She's been keeping quiet since being released from prison, but now, Monica Conyers is breaking her silence.
Monica Conyers showed support for her husband John during a tribute for the longtime congressman.
She has pretty much been off the radar since returning to Detroit following her release from federal prison this past December.
"My friend, started me running... it keeps my mind focused," said Conyers.
The former Detroit City Council president is still on probation ater serving 27 months for bribery.
She is still limited in what she can say to the media,but says, she's happy to be home and is spending time focusing on her family, herself and cooking.
