(WXYZ) - Kid Rock is back to being a rebel. The Detroit rocker's newest album "Rebel Soul," was released Monday.
The 14 track album, produced by Kid Rock, is his ninth studio release. The lead single from the album, "Let's Ride," is an anthem to military men and women.
"Rebel Soul" follows the 2010 release of "Born Free," which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart. "Born Free" went on to sell more than one million copies.
The so-called "Son of Detroit" will also be the headliner during the Lions halftime show Thanksgiving Day. The show will feature the song "Detroit, Michigan." The track makes reference to several Motown musical influences like Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and even Eminem.
