DETROIT (WXYZ) - Lake Charlevoix is topping the list of "America's Best Lakes."
It was chosen by USA Today readers as the second-best lake in the United States behind Lake Tahoe, located on the border of California and Nevada.
Readers were able to select from a list of 15 nominations, but none of the Great Lakes were an option.
USA Today explained that it wanted to spotlight some of the nation's smaller summer getaways.
