LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) - State officials are trying to reassure residents that their confidential information is safe despite three laptops being stolen.
The laptops were stolen from the Livonia office of Michigan Rehabilitation Services on Plymouth Road.
Livonia police say the thefts took place over the weekend.
No suspects have been identified, but state officials say customers' personal information is not at risk because all of the files are encrypted.
The Michigan Rehabilitation Services helps disabled people in developing their skills and finding employment.
