DETROIT, Mich.(WXYZ) - If you've ever wondered how dogs get trained to work with police, there's an opportunity to see K-9 training in action this weekend.
The Livonia Police Department is teaming up with the Dearborn Heights Police Department to host the United States Canine Association Certification.
Dozens of dogs from all over the U.S. and Canada will be on site to go through training and receive certification.
The event is free to the public and it's going on all weekend at Bentley Field in Livonia.
